Last weekend was the end of the NM State Fair horse shows. NMBHA donated a nice Oren Mixer buckskin print for the high-point Buckskin horse in the Ranch Pleasure Stakes, and I got to present it to the winner!
It seems as though rain likes to fall during State Fair, and this year, while waiting for the results, there was a double rainbow!
I convinced Dolly Wallace to be in my rainbow pic!
It turns out Dolly was also the buckskin winner! She piloted Marilyn Novat’s gelding to the high point in the ranch pleasure stakes!
Congratulations!
(Only a few months until the 2027 show season starts!)
