Jim organized a trip for us to Pennsylvania and New York mainly for genealogical purposes, and that went well, but to me the coolest part was visiting Niagara Falls!
Two hundred thousand cubic feet per second (csf) of water is the typical current flow in the Niagara River. Half is diverted to power plants in the U.S. and Canada. So, “just” 100k flows over the falls. For a NM perspective, in a flood event, we might see about 8000 csf in the Rio Grande. The Niagara has a LOT of water!!!
We went to the overlooks, the bridge, took the boat ride on the Maid of Mist’s Nikola Telsa electric boat, and did the Cave of the Winds walk. All gave different perspectives. The boat and the cave walk were pretty crowded, but both were spectacular and worth it!

It should be noted that although there may be a cavern behind the waterfall, there is no walking in that cavern. Still, this was my favorite view because we were right beside the roaring water and in the spray!
