Sentinels Starter Kit

by Doranna

So, yeah…I’m playing around with Rafflecopter again.  It just looks…you know…fun!

The contest is pretty much self-explanatory…and there lots of options for entering.  It starts on 2/28, ends a month later…I wouldn’t tend to have it run quite that long, but I’m trying something with a cool blog site, so there it is.  Enter lots, happily go on your way, and it’ll be a nice surprise at the end of the month if you win!

PS Congratulations, Robin G.!

(The entry form is behind the cut…just click on the Continue Reading link.  This will be a “sticky” post at the top of the blog through the end of the contest, and so it needs to leave space for Patty’s Write Horse and my various adventures!)a Rafflecopter giveaway

    • Doranna says:

Awesome! As soon as I finish up second draft on ALPHA ENTANGLED, I’m working on chapters for my version of a werewolf story…

  3. Ilona Fenton says:

werewolf or dragon – never can make up my mind about which one is best.

    • Doranna says:

Oh, gosh–wouldn’t a dragon be fun? *makes note* Of course, Shana Abe has done such a wonderful job with hers…

  4. Jenni J. says:

I love cats. The way that they move and the dangerous aura around them. Plus, I mean come one. Sexyness, pure sexyness! But I also think its really fun to read about shifters that aren’t popular. Like Zeninia Masters’ Shifting Crossroads series! Love this giveaway. Thanks
    😀

    • Doranna says:

That’s a little of what I was trying to do with the Sentinels…a whole variety of shifters. I’m glad to hear that’s something you’ve enjoyed with other authors! Thanks for posting. 8)

  5. Ellen Heaton says:

ooohh if I win I get a jumpstart on Christmas gifts seeing as I have these! 🙂

  6. Suzan Morrow Farrell says:

I like the dog or cat shape shifters the the best—probably because I have those critters around the house and can imagine them doing a little shifting. But I’m thinking a bird would be fun, too—maybe a crow because they are so smart or an eagle because they are so majestic.

    • Doranna says:

For whatever reason, there are no bird shifters in the Sentinel world. I mean, I don’t rule them out in the future, but right now I just don’t “see” them. Weird, huh? Because they’d definitely be fun to write!

  7. Penumbra says:

I like a lot of shifters but mostly wolves, felines and dragons.

    • Doranna says:

I sense a theme… Boy, I’m glad I decided to ask this question!

  8. Earlene Gillespie says:

I like most shifters, but my favs are dragons, wolves, big cats. Looks like a great series to read. Hope I win. 🙂

    • Doranna says:

Definitely a theme. I love seeing the responses!

  9. kat says:

I love any kind of shifter crossing my fingers hope i win

  10. Janie McGaugh says:

    I like wolf shifters best.

  11. Pam Kinsey says:

I love dragon shifters the best

    • Doranna says:

I didn’t realize how popular dragons were before this conversation!

  12. clynsg says:

    Panthers–tigers are good too!

  13. Elizabeth Gray says:

I love all shifters, but have read the most about wolf shifters.

    • Doranna says:

I think that’s one of the reasons I’ve (perhaps not wisely) avoided them as a theme until I put together the Querecho wolves. There’s a lot of it out there, so who needs one more, right? Well, I guess the lure to do it my own way has won out!

      • Elizabeth Gray says:

For some reason, I think they are the easiest to write about. But, I love your Sentinels series and all the different shifters you have.

        • Doranna says:

I’m not sure they’re the easiest to write about so much as they’re the thing people think they know the best. When kinda they don’t necessarily. PS thank you for the warm fuzzies!

  14. karla eakin says:

Thanks for the contest…my favorite shifter is a true shifter…like Sam in True Blood..that can shift into anything

  15. Gina Falt says:

    Falcon

  16. Robin Greene says:

I’ve read a number of dragon but I like wolves too. If I’m allowed, I’d love to recommend Thea Harrison’s Elder Races series that starts with Dragon Bound.

      • Doranna says:

PS they look good! I just got a sample of #1 for my Nook.

  17. @MelanieCDuncan says:

Thanks for the chance to win!

    • @MelanieCDuncan says:

And I like bear, wolf and dragon shapeshifters the most.

      • Doranna says:

Not many bear shifters out there, though I’ve seen them. And had a blast writing Ruger and Mariska in Kodiak Chained!

  18. emmad says:

I’m another who likes most types of shiftersbut will add gryphons to the list:)

  19. Marni Leigh says:

I love wolf, dragon, bear, tiger, and other exotic shifters. But a part
of me longs for something…different. What about a duck shifter? An
opossum would also be off the beaten path. Perhaps I’m just weird. 🙂

    • Doranna says:

I know just what you mean. It’s one of the reasons I had this whole conversation with my agent about which animals are sexy, and why I went with a Chinese water deer in Tiger Bound, and have worked my way through some of the medium sized wildcats.

Possum, though…no no no. I guess I have not a lot good to say about possums! They have the most teeth of any mammal and they’re the most ancient North American mammal but that’s where it ends. Too many encounters with them in KY/VA that just left me wondering how Darwin had not, in fact, disposed of the whole species along the way.

  20. Stacey A Smith says:

wolves or my favorite shifters but I love all types of them.

    • Doranna says:

Thanks! Makes me excited to be working on a wolfie book right now…

  21. Jana Leah says:

I do love those werewolves. Thanks for the giveaway.
